A Jewish wedding on the beach!

If I could make a list of perfect couples who I’d like to photograph for ever and ever untill the end of time, Jeremy and Diana would probably be right on top of that list. Obviously just one below Ryan Reynolds and Blike Lively (because I think that would te most hilarious shoot in the history of the universe). When we first met, Diana told me that their wedding wasn’t going to be big, fussy or extravagent. They wanted the photos to reflect the atmosphere of the day and the little moments that happen in between. My response was roughly compared to THIS on the outside, and basically THIS on the inside.

So, now that you know where Diana and Jeremy stand on my all time favorites list, I can start telling you about how awesome their wedding was:

Firstly, it was my debut as a photographer at a Jewish wedding! And I can tell you now that I loved every second of it! Apart from all the beautiful traditions and rituals througout the day, I got the feeling that this gorgeous couple is loved so intensely by every member of their friends and family. And nobody was afraid to show it!

Secondly, Diana wore the MOST WONDERFUL short, ballerina-type wedding dress I have ever seen. I wanted to touch it all the time. And not the cool “ooh Iove your dress” kind of touch, but the creepy kind where I slowly reached out my hand at exactly the same time she was turning around. And I all I could do to save myself from utter socially awkward embarressment was to look her in the eye (arm still outreached) and shout “eeeehhh Macarena!”. That’s how cool her dress was.

And thirdly: Whenever I think back on the day itself, I can’t help but remember all the laughs and genuine warmth from every guest at the wedding. From the start of the ceremony untill the lively dancing at the reception. It just shows that your wedding doesn;t have to be big or over-the-top extravagent. As long as you have good food, and the people you love (and obviously me to document everything), your wedding will be the best day of your life.

So here’s to Diana and Jeremy, who can add another fan to their already growing list…me!
