Sometimes you arrive at a wedding and you just know that it’s going to be different. Not the kind of different you would use to describe, say, Donald Trump’s hair. Nope, different in a good way. A really, really good way.
Sabine and Hubert’s wedding in Alkmaar was held on a very wet and dreary Friday. Mother nature decided to give them the middlefinger and pretty much squished their dreams of going to a nearby estate to take beautiful photos in the gardens. Instead, ??the bridal portraits were done in a gentlemen’s club where no woman has set foot since the 17th century. Which I personally thought was the best thing to happen since they invention of??the Snuggie.
That very same gentleman’s club played host to their heartfelt ceremony where Sabine’s dad (a man you definately do not??challenge to ??an arm wrestling match, or even??a thumb war) did as every dad would do on his daughter’s wedding day, and sobbed through his speech. After the ceremony, it was time to move to De Kleine Waarheid (The small truth), a small and cozy cafe in the centre of Alkmaar. I love how Sabine and Hubert made sure that the important details, the details that make them special, stand out on their wedding day. They truly are beautiful people inside and out, and I feel honoured to have been part of their wedding!
